All about the “Lip Flip”[BLOG]

The BOTOX lip flip is a great option for you to subtly enhance your lips and peri-oral skin. It is much loved by many of our clients who enjoy the discrete and subtle boost it gives.

It works by inducing gentle relaxation of the muscle that surrounds the mouth – orbicularis oris. This is a circular shaped (sphincter) muscle that can become tighter and denser with age, inverting (turning in) the lips. 

Combined with reduced collagen and elastin connective tissue strength, this region of the face can become wrinkled and creased, giving the appearance of “smoker’s lines”, even in non-smokers.

Carefully placed BOTOX (typically 4-6 tiny injections) allows the lines to become smoothed out and the lips are under less tension, causing them to appear plumper.

This treatment takes approximately one minute and results appear from around 7 days.
