Results are evident immediately but will continue to develop over the following 7 – 14 days. Lips can become a little swollen for 24 – 48 hours following a lip enhancement treatment so we suggest avoid planning social events for 24 – 48 hours. This is completely normal and will subside over a couple of days.
Hyaluronic acid lip fillers are very soft in the lip area and won’t feel hard or lumpy when injected properly. Your lips will look and feel natural as well as highly irresistable! (Don't say we didn't warn you!)
The lip area can be sensitive, so we apply a numbing cream to the area before the treatment. We also only use high quality lip fillers which contain anaesthetic for maximum comfort during and after the treatment.
You can also choose a full anesthetic block to the lips if you are very pain sensitive or severely anxious.
Our lips fillers are all temporary Hyaluronic Acid fillers which typically last for up to 6-12 months. This can vary between individuals which your doctor or nurse will explain to you during the consultation.
We always make sure you are fully informed on the treatment and the likely results, which most people absolutely love. Thankfully, if after having the procedure, it is regretted or disliked, there is always the option to dissolve the fillers using the enzyme, Hyalase. Alternatively, as dermal fillers are naturally reversible and temporary, the lips will return to the natural state after simply waiting for them to degrade, as described above.
The doctor will carefully examine your lip area and discuss your desired results. The treatment starts with the area being cleansed and numbed before the dermal filler’s injected into the lip area. The product is finally massaged to create a smooth natural looking result. Everyone's perfect lip is slightly different and we will talk to your about your preferences such as ideal shape and volume desired. We are used to treating all ages, races and sexes and always listen to individual desires and requirements.
We only use the leading Hyaluronic Acid based dermal fillers for lip filler treatments, including Teosyal Kiss, Revanesse, Hyacorp, Juvederm Ultra and Volbella. Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occuring sugar chain molecule found in your skin. It attracts and binds water in the skin providing gentle, natural looking volume perfect for the delicate lip area.
We could mention risks of permanent lip disfiguration, infections related to poorly controlled, non-sterile working environments or blindness related to a poor understanding of lip anatomy, and more. Simply put, trained doctors/dentists/nurses are best placed to provide this treatment as safely as possible. The risk of problems is not worth the money you may save by going to a non-medic in unregulated premises.
